I have a theory that a large segment of the population keeps themselves detached from all the rest of humanity save a chosen few. Most humans they see as 'other.' Not as kin, not even as similar. Of course, as I see it, humanity en masse is moving toward a sort of semi-functional insanity. It's the only conclusion I can come up with that makes any sense. If so many are, then the majority rules and that level of 'crazy' becomes the norm, the standard, if you will. This is a 7 by 5.5 inches gel pen drawing with color pencil on heavy-weight acid-free paper. It's the first color piece since leaving the hospital so something of a milestone for Original Jones Art here in northwest Austin, Texas.

hey Charles Ive always view humanity and life a little insane just because we all live in a iimperfect world. i love the colors and the powerful message it has nice job again Chuck keep it coming

Artist Reply: Agreed. But we aren't supposed to make it even more imperfect by our actions or non-actions, I think. Hope you are doing great, Ray. :)

AND WHICH GROUP ARE WE IN MY FRIEND....STEINBECK IN HIS BOOK 'the moon is down" said " ..the flies have captured the flypaper...." oh, by the way...I really love this work ....really eye catching--the stare of disbelief....

Artist Reply: Yes, it really depends upon one's viewpoint, Elton. Steinbeck was a great writer. Remember when we still had 'great' things? Hope all is on an even keel up your way. :)
