This view up the Donkey Steps in Monchique, was sketched from the "yellow chairs" cafe in the main square. My drawings are cartoon-like and a spontaneous response to what I see. In my paintings, the quality of line is important, along with pattern and bold colours. 60 x 60cm square painting
