Huldra

The Huldra is a female woodland spirit in Scandinavian folklore. She is famous for tempting men to follow her into the wood, beconing them with her beautiful face. But when they have followed her far into the dark trees they find that the beautiful girl has the feet and tail of a cow. Sometimes she turns around and they see that her back is hollow like an old tree. The men that fall under her spell is seldom seen again and if they do come back they are never quite themselves...
