Circling. It's what predators do to their prey; it's what we do with our lives. Of course, I won't even mention buzzards as they circle high in the sky. Oh, I just did. This is a 6 by 4.5 inches gel pen drawing with color pencil and bit of white acrylic paint marker on manilla paper. Yes, Original Jones Art has been putting on the happy face lately. But don't let that fool you. He's still the same old dark-souled curmudgeon he's always been in northwest Austin, Texas.

I like the pupils of the eyes. You've done them a little different, haven't you? Good image and as always, wonderful description.

Artist Reply: Yes, Ginger, thanks for looking closely. I made them curl around, you might say. Honestly, I don't know why the eyes seem to be getting bigger. Maybe the artist just isn't seeing enough to stimulate himself adequately. It's anybody's guess; I mean if I don't know, who does? :)

Another amazing piece. The details are stunning. I sometimes see myself as the prey, as the buzzards circle around me - waiting for me to give up, waiting for me to not want to continue. But I have hope and as I walk with one foot in front to the other, as long as I continue to breathe, I can continue to fight. Fight to survive, fight to overcome any obstacle before me. I fight to keep the predators at bay. Another powerful and heartfelt piece my friend

Artist Reply: Thank you, Rick! Well, you gotta give me a point or two for effort and maybe another half a point for stubbornness, don't you think? Hope all is going great in your part of the world. :)
