I tried something a little different tonight. I tried using some flow type acrylic, slightly thinned with water and flow medium as watercolor for this piece. It worked pretty well, save for the fact this isn't watercolor paper and is a little too thin. I also used some color pencil. I think I could use this on thicker paper with better, less wrinkly, results. This is a 6 by 4.5 inches gel pen, acrylic and color pencil drawing on medium bond acid-free paper. It's an experimental piece of Original Jones Art as he enjoys a mild December day in northwest Austin, Texas.

Really like this one. Def. a fav. Sometimes I thin my acrylics to watercolor consistency and paint on a sheet of canvas paper. At times, works well, other times, not. Broke down and bought some watercolor paper and that did the trick. Even though that paper is what I call expensive, sure like the result! I see no flaws in your image and think this is one of your best.

Very cool effect ! also like that you were adventurous and took a chance with it. Nice work, Charles : )

Artist Reply: Mistakes are the building blocks to learning something new---or something like that. I'll try another on heavier paper just to see if I did---learn something. Thanks, Dave! :)
