An old saying says that those in love are blind---or that love is blind, which amounts to the same thing, I guess. But I don't think that is it at all. I think those truly in love just do not see the person they love with their actual eyes. They 'see' their inner qualities, their purity of soul. Maybe there's an overwhelming feeling of simpatico, a sense of compatibility or melding of personalities. Whatever it is, love has nothing to do with having power one over the other. And there's no way a person in love would intentionally hurt their beloved physically or psychologically. So does that make true love about as scarce as hen's teeth? In today's world, it is difficult to say. I think it has always been a rare occurrence. People have been coupling for all the wrong reasons as far back as the first man and woman probably. This is a 6.5 by 4.5 inches gel pen with color pencil drawing on medium bond acid-free paper. It's just Original Jones Art thinking aloud here in northwest Austin, Texas.
