Artist Reply: Thank you for your insightful comment, John. This view of Tanaya Canyon in Yosemite was captured after a long climb up Snowy Creek trail. It had just snowed the night before, and the only way my husband and I could find and stay on the trail along the cliffside was by following some intrepid hiker's old footprints that was still showing up as hollows in the snow. We were the only people to trek in that area that day, and it was one of those memorable experiences you never forget.
