Shyanne the Pink Fairy

I tried some new techniques and digitally painted from scratch my granddaughter Shyanne as a pink fairy in a field of flowers. It is based on a pose from a photo taken by Ellen Livingston, her loving Aunt. This doesn't have as detailed features as some of my art. I wanted a playful, art piece feel for a little girls room.

Wonderful use of color!!

Artist Reply: Thank you Debbie! I was experimenting with diffrent computer brushes and styles with this one. There are so many to choose from, and I can even create my own. This one was my first attempt of a fairy. I am preparing a new series with quite a bit more detail, elegances, color, and elements to it. I will develop it more as I use and learn to use my computer software and figure out what I want to do with it. I did in this one, have to paint each stroke, one at a time, only I held a wireless pen stylus that works as I move it on a flat wacom tablet.

Imaginative and delightful!

Artist Reply: Thank you Sara! I used to stand between the tulips my late father and I painted. He loved gardening. I was thinking of him when I painted this. He would have been tickled about this painting.
