Envelope

I had in mind I'd do a pair of illustrations for a stationery set. I'd done this one first, but when I went to do the second, I got a little carried away. You can see that Feather delivery isn't really suitable for stationery any more. Oh well! I'm pretty happy with this. I think this was those german "DeckFarben" (opaque paints) on a lightly flecked envelope.

I seriously enjoy your work. I have written a few childrens stories, and never found an illustrator I liked, so the stories sat in my office. Is illustrating in that way anything you would ever consider doing?

Artist Reply: Wow! YES. We should probably discuss this further over email? I don't yet know anything about getting illustrated stories published, but I know there are lots of how-to books on the topic out there. I'm working on a project with my wonderful stepmom at the moment.
