Gem design 1

This is a design I created of gems against a lovely floral sky. When I gaze at the stars at night, I see sparkles like a gem. A real starry night can not be outdone with a poor imitaion. I remeber as a child I thought stars were diamonds, the sun a yellow gem, and Mars a red one. I found the night sky a wonder and always will. I get to see shooting stars often where I live, I react with awe, and feel as if given a priceless gem. Yes, some things in life are priceless.

Great color design Terry.

Artist Reply: Thank you Donald! I've a thing for sparkling, reflective objects. I love bubbles to glass beads, all sorts of sparklers. I have lots collected & study them for designs & inspirations. I am also planning out some garden ornaments & mosaics with them.

This is very beautiful Terry! I have always loved Gems and all types of stones, valuable and otherwise, so I really love your composition! And even better it's free to look at and enjoy! Yet as a piece of art, it's priceless! Laurie :)

Artist Reply: Thank you Lauri! I love gems and rocks myself. I go out like a kid and hunt up samples. My yard is bordered with my finds. Wish I had all the real gems like these. I went through my craft supplies for jewels to look at and to study the light relflections to do this work.

Terry you write so beautifully and this is an icredibly opulent piece. miguel

Artist Reply: Thank you Miguel! It was a good practice for me to lean to do the lights and shadows, reflections. I raided all my craft stuff for sparkly stuff. I used bright lights to look at to catch the sparkling. The shapes were easy once done, I could enlarge or shrink them, and change the colors.
