Burning Bush

10"x20" spray paint on gallery wrap canvas. If you look closely, you can see a representation of God's thumb and thumbnail upper right holding Moses head with his long beard ending in a burning bush. Lots to see in this one. Impressionistic abstract using spray paints.

I think this is perfect!, any more added, especially any intensity, would detract rather than add to this piece. Less is usually more!! Gorgeous work as always Ginger, I love it!

I think it is an very interesting experience on abstract, Ginger! Gives us a beautiful sense of colour. You can put some more intense and contrasting details in the future to do a more vibrant composition, as this kind of works needs. Beautiful work, Ginger!

Artist Reply: Thanks very much for your comment, Alberto. Regarding more intense contrasting details, while using only spray paints, it's very difficult to manage detailed contrasts. Next time I might consider coming back in with an overlay of acrylics for contrasts but my main desire for this one was to use only spray paints. Thanks very much for commenting on my work. I appreciate it.

intresting work ginger, i don't use to criticize, so i hope u doon't mind if i say....your title is georgouse and so your own comment for your work, but not much else..you know i love all of your works but maybe working abstract on this subject doesn't fit...well it's mt idea, thogh nice

Artist Reply: What? You have an opinion about my art other than mine! How could you possibly??? Of course, I don't mind you saying what you think. I have the same priviledge with your work and ideas, don't I? If I'm understanding you correctly, thank you for saying the image is nice but I'm sorry you don't think "religion" can have an abstract aspect. I do and since I'm the one that painted this as what I felt at the time in my heart, then believe you-me, it has to "fit". I was requested to paint this painting along with another 23 in a series entitled "For God So Loved the World" to hang in a religious art center near Miami, Florida in the latter part of 2005. Currently this particular painting is being exhibited at the Christian Art Center in Paducah, KY at their request. So there definitely are those "out there" that appreciate the abstract aspect of Christian art. Bless your heart, Miad, you just don't happen to be one of them ... and that's o.k. I sincerely appreciate your comment on this and my other works. You're a sweetheart for saying what you think on a deeply sensitive subject. Years ago, I may have even agreed with you.
