Freinds at Trail Tree

This painting is of my neice and her freind. The tree they are sitting on is in the southeast corner of Spencer Park in Logansport, IN. It is refered to as Trail Tree as it marked the trail to a Miami Indian Village which was destroyed before the Civil War. This was first shown in October 1990 at the Edson Gallery. Because it is such a small gallery it almost did not accept the painting because of its size. It was later shown in March 1991 at a gallery in Broadripple a northern suburb of Indianapolis, IN. It was in the office of attorney Kelly Lehman. This painting is 4'by 6' and the walnut frame adds 6" all the way around making it 5'by 7' in the frame.
