Long Line for Lemonade

watercolor on coldpress paper;
sized 10x16"
copyright 2006

the third in the series of two sisters making (and selling) lemonade.

a secret, the three blonde kids in line are me, my little sister, and my brother when we were kids. i had those yellow frog boots and my brother often wore a superman cape and sucked his thumb. the cat scared of the dog in the foreground is in homage to all the awesome grey cats we've ever had.

i've had to use a camera to get pictures up here of late, so some of it is off in colors and lines. it looks better in person. aren't they always? :)

All your work is great stuff. So adorable and tightly and cleanly done. You wouldn't believe how filthy my work can get. Great job.

Wow, you are incredible at watercolour and children's illustration! These are the kinds of pictures that delight kids and encourage them to love books.
