Bee Balm Blossoms

I finally found what these were exactly. This is a variety of Bee Balm, also found in in orange. Bee Balm blooms late Summer, so still flowering when your vegetables and fruits need pollinating. It is often planted near orchards or gardens to attract bees, which love the scent. This draws them to nearby plants. The first one I posted as cone family, and is, but Bee Balm is the variety. They are odd flowers, but I must give them even more respect as they bloom in the hottest months of the Summer, and help your garden thrive. I'm making my list to find how many colored varieties of this to put in my garden. I know there are herbal uses,as well. Found growing in the historical Colonial gardens of ROse Hill Manor.

Artist Reply: Thanks Laurie! I will! Going on a vacation for a week, and will take photos when I can. Out scoping possible homes or land to build on. Will pop up to Yosemite Park to take photos. Enjoy your weekend!

Maybe would have had more impact if focus was on one or two blooms..

Artist Reply: Thanks Dianna! There is a close up shot of such a blossom in the same subgallery that came out well. This one was just to show a grouping of these odd, but interesting flowers. I hadn't seen them before, and was being surrounded by bees. (Which I'm allergic to.)
