The Burning House

I recently sold this original painting, and was surprised at reactions from those who saw it. Everyone said it made them think of serenity. The man who bought it said it brought back fond memories of fishing from the dock. When I painted it, serenity was not on my mind. Am making this painting available as 8X10" prints.

it's always amazing what viewers find in our artworks. certainly they always see other then the intention, or purchase those things that we think won't sell. your watercolor work is quite fresh and pictoral - it's no wonder it sold so quickly...

What a wonderful story behind this picture, dear Linda!!--

Artist Reply: Thank you. I painted this after my mother's house burned down. She and my three small nieces escaped injury, but we were all left with terrors.
