Johnsonburg Jay

This is a digitally manipulated image i created this morning from a photo i took 8 years ago when we lived in Johnsonburg. It was taken with an Canon 35mm, with a zoom lense. I thought the image was nice back then, but i like it even more now, as a digital creation. The Blue jay roosted in an discarded christmas tree that i had put near my feeders.

i'm sure the original was beautiful but you're right. this is a wonderful effect. what i really like(aside from your work that is)is that you put your christmas tree out for the birds and not out for garbage pick-up. too bad more people don't do the same. it makes great compost in the spring.
