this is really great. i've been trying a little woodcarving lately, but im used to metal. wood is a lot easier to move and i get a little rough with it sometimes. i love the celtic theme. very nice work. -B
I have just come across your portfolio Cathy and it is awesome work..I would love to be able to create intricate thing but alas I am jus so clumsy and heavy handed.Excetional work.Brilliant.
Your celtic carvings are so beautifully rendered. It is so wonderful you have this vast knowledge of celtic art and culture. Thank you so much for enlightening us on this ancient art form, Cathy!
Artist Reply: Thank you Cher so much for a fabulous feedback, hope I'm not gonna be a Celtic bore!
Artist Reply: Thank you Seth, this was originally a so called flat form of artwork, I really enjoy turning such works into something you can actually hold and touch, Thank you again Seth!
Artist Reply: Thank you Seth, your comments are really very welcome!
Stunning work. The symbolism is amazing in this detailed carving informing us of the power of Celtic imagery. Given my love of dogs, your subject matter could not be more divine. You have a unique and exceptional talent and I love the beautiful English Walnut and your sharing a very interesting part of history.
Artist Reply: Thank you so mutch for your comments, I do agree Celtic and pagan-pictish art, symbolism is indeed powerfull.
Interesting. I have seen many Celtic knots but never one incorporating dogs.
Artist Reply: Hi Faith, it is not unusual for celtic works to include animals, dogs in particular in Celtic and Paganistic symbolism, wont bore you, could go on!
