Artist Reply: Dearest Patti Jo! How wonderful to hear from you. I always loved your pictures, they were full of charm and old fashioned. The kind of phtos I love, women in the country in long flowing skirts and wide brimmed hats... the young girls natural beauty, like yours. I am sorry that you have not been well. I will pray that things start to go better for you. Surgery in any form is usually difficult to go through. I know. I had a few operations on my left leg from a car accident and I still hurt. I was in a car accident when I was fifteen. As the years go by seems my leg hurts worse, never stops hurting, like a heartache. Knowing you have thought of me heals my soul and brightens my life. Thank you so much. I felt close to you too and even though we never conversed day to day your memory has been with me since the first time I looked at your site and phtos. I love your spirit and heart. We are much the same, I feel. How is your family? what have you been doing? I was in California for 8 months living with my sister trying to get to know my family there again. My daughter lives there also and I had not seen her since she was 18. Now Charity is 34. California is a difficult place to live if you do not have enough money. Alas. I had to return to Wisconsin. But I learned some lessons while I was there, I hope. Charity is the Girl with the Starry Corona you commented on. The program that overlays two different photos like that one can be done with Photo Shop CS2 if you type in merge photos or layering in the question box. I have not done this for 3 months now, so I forgot how exactly. My Sister Mary Lou Cupp, an artist on this site knows how to do it better than me. But she does not have internet access anymore, at the moment and neither do I. I do not have my own computer. I have to use someone elses. Can't get on here every day anymore. S0 if I do not comment on work all the time that is why. I was spending 3 to five hours here a couple of years ago, but found that I did not get of my own work done. I did enjoy looking at everyones art , however. The real reason I was here was to make friends. I am honored that you have remembered me...Then all my efforts were not in vain. I tried to make a connection with others, but found it awkward at times. If I could have reached through the screen to give you a hug I would have. I feel as though you are My Sister too. In this world there is really very little time to live, one day we are young then we are old. Time passes so quickly and the goodness that we can share with others is all that matters, the beauty of the human heart is the love it gives despite all ill. I feel that from your soul, Thank you very much. You are a blessing. I am glad that you have made it through your surgeries. I hope that if we never meet here that I will see you in paradise. I never have sold anything here. Initially my art was posted for that intent. But I found that the people I met here were the reward and the better part of it. I have my painting "Largo" which will be displayed tomorrow along with many other artists in An ARTWALK. ARTWAlK is on Saturday night and all the stores down town feature local artists. It is good for their business and the artists, the town people also. Fun to walk through the little shops, have a drink and eat some treats. I only will have "Largo" displayed since the rest of my work is not matted or framed. I am working on it. Since I moved back to Wisconsin I have to get caught up with bills and save money to find a place to live. Now you know some of what I have been up to. I will send my love.
