Greetings fellow artists, this drawing was completed with a pencil and pink pastel stick. I have been doing artworks for the past fifty years my friends. This portrait of a young child was completed thirty-nine years ago or in 1968. Drawing with a pencil took place for five years before I changed over to a ballpoint pen. Contrast, lines, perspective, space, arrangement or creativity certainly was learned with those great old pencils I still have!***** If people are interested in learning how to draw pencils certainly worked well for me. Learning how to draw plus what black and white was all about took place with a pencil. This portrait was my first really great drawing and that certaily changed my life forever! After I did this portrait ink drawings came to mind because something harder was in order. Ink was bold, much harder plus far more challenging therefore reaching into my shirt pocket to obtain my ballpoint pen took place during an art class. The rest is now recorded worldwide as Ball Point Pen Art via the WWW.***** This pencil drawing was posted with AW so that my fellow artist friends could see another medium by me. Maybe this will help people learn more about my artistic ablities or past as well. I got better in life or as an artist because marching forward was more important to me than what others said. For decades people told me to become many other things other than an artist. After this drawing was done my confidence and direction took off and running in the art world.
