Collecting Hydrogen

16"x20" oil on canvas. Part of my "Unstable landscapes" series depicting a strange planet of giant natural columns. The daytime visible galaxy indicates to toto that we are no longer located in the midwestern united states. There appear to be some people atop one of the columns conducting some type of experiment or possibly involved in a procedure of collecting some substance which may be hydrogen, from within the column. I really don't know but that's as good a guess as any so hence the title of this piece which I felt was better than "collecting some stuff"
