Giant Column Family

The largest of this series, Column Family is a study in size depicting 2 Giant columns, one of which is too large for the canvas and a cluster of baby columns nestled safely in the shadow of their apparent parents. A rainbow in the background gives a sense of scale to the image and a river which seems to start from nowhere or an accumulation of water condensation on the side of the mother column symbolizing the female lactating to nourish her young.

I wonder if your inspiration came from an industrial landscape for this one. It reminds me of factory chimneys but with more pleasing colours. Excellent work. Some smurfs fishing might add a wee bit of humour.
