This image came up when I did a search for 'planet', and that's why we think and hope that you would like to participate in ArtWanted's upcoming charity project, for now we are asking members to vote, the organization that will be elected is going to be supported by ArtWanted and it's members for a year. So please return the favor, visit our portfolio and vote for one of the twelve organizations listed, there's also a gallery where you can display up to three of your works! TOGETHER we can make a better world! PEACE! Ps, Beautiful Work!

A World Away...superb!!

Artist Reply: Ohhhh I'm so excited for you to see it!!!! This is the first project in the gimp software totally from scratch without a photo to start! Thank you so much for showing me how to find it!!

Looks like a pretty cool place Laurie. Nice job with all the color and lights. I like the bottom one.

Artist Reply: Thank you so much Mark! I'm so excited you like it...this is my first entirely computer generated piece. As you can tell by the egg shape of the sphere...many bugs yet to be worked out lol but I was still happy with the end result.

I love the zoomed-in pic...looks like a strange and mysterious world. :)

Artist Reply: Thank you Annie!! Just learning the software so it's an adventure in itself...that's why it's eggshaped like that lol so hop on for the ride you can see how far I can take it ;)

Great job Laurie!! The shape is a little eggzagerated, don't you think?

Artist Reply: LOL not sure how to change the way it makes the sphere yet smart aleck LOL

Laurie its my home planet. My wee space ship crashed here in the 50's near Rosswell hangar 54. My map reading wasn't to good. I was looking for Rosewell in Midlothian. It was a very small roadster I was driving. Thet's why I call it my wee space ship because there wasn't a lot of space in it. All I had with me was an over night bag. I'm still waiting for the AA to rescue me. Astrological Association, they're a breakdown company. I breakdown everytime I think about them. XX
