Florida Bayou

This is a technique I tried out after accidentally winning a first prize at a "Plain Air" contest. It was a rainy day and my very first time painting on the streets. The brushes wouldn't work - it was too humid. I got mad and started using my palette knives laying the paint thickly. I am still surprised that the judge liked the mess I'd created. But I loved the style. So I made a series of painting in this manner.

I love this technique Tatyana, it looks like you've mastered the palette knife. Good work.
