Post Oaks are the most common in this part of Texas and many years, due to overly hot and dry months preceding "Fall", the leaves just turn brown and eventually are blown off the trees. It is less common for them to turn orange and red like other varieties of oaks that are actually cultivated. This year, post oaks are among the pretty foliage finally showing up in December.
