My latest forest painting hangs right in the foyer above the stairwell and its the perfect spot for it. I can almost feel as though I'm walking right into this maze of purple woodland! I really love the versatility of acrylics. Thanks for viewing! ~S

Ah okay so this forest theme keeps repeating - kind like one of me fav flicks - Spellbound - movie made me want to take meds - Ame thyst - what is that Steve? A friend has a thyst - I like the purple... wait... back-track - sometimes the spell checker throws me a bender - the stone - I get it - hence the great purple - ha! 187 IQ and sometimes I think maybe I've had to many happy-hours - back to this forest thing and that stump in the foreground- somfin's happening here - what it is ain't exactly clear - better give some thought - bewdy though - very Gothic purply feel to it SF ~:0)

Artist Reply: That atrocious stump! You are wonderfully insightful, indeed Chas!!Hehe!! Take care!! =)

Your acrylic painting has such a gracefulness to it. The amethyst tones and the arcing of the limbs make me think of a cathedral and this does have a meditative quality to it. It's great the way you painted the trees that recede into the background- the white ones and shadowy one. Wonderful perspective! You are as creative with traditional materials as with your digital techniques!

Artist Reply: Wow, thanks Kathryn! Your comments make me feel good in a sense that acrylics( which is my preferred medium) had almost taken a back seat to my digital images! I think I'll always consider myself a traditional artist. Digital is something I enjoy and still learning, I'm just applying some my traditional techniques!! ~S

It's so interesting how they are all very formulaic in the pattern, until you get to the foreground with that one white tree and then the tree stump. Kind of makes me think of "breaking the mold". I love how you rock purple, Steve!
