The Sentinal

Last weeks hike was with a friend that works for the Nat'l Forest Service. She took me on a hike that I have never been on...always an exciting adventure!! Without her, I would have gotten lost a dozen times on the logging road that took us to the trailhead. It's a relatively short hike to Noble Knob, thru 2nd growth forest before breaking into alpine meadow around 5000 ft. elevation. The mountain flowers are just getting started, late this year because of record snowfall. The air was sweet and Mt. Rainier was in her glory!! The second photo shows the road we came in on in the middle-ground and more mountaintops in the far background. It was so nice to be up there...no one else was around!!! Thanks so much for stopping by!!!
