Crow Feathers

Indian Summer days & new November. Beyond my old window [again], like a forgotten poem, Out of an astonishing blue & almost too high> "one crow after another" return. 11/2/2008 From Light&Shadow "Snowy morning- one crow after another." -Matsuo Basho (1644-1694) *For Maude Rose K. 1912-2008 "If crows gather or caw in the vicinity of a house it is expected someone will die there soon. The idea is that all birds carry the souls to the land of the dead, or perhaps heaven, but i think a crow would be best suited for the job." From "A Gathering Of Crows" *After the rather amazing crow sighting in the deep blue, I heard by telephone that my Grandmother had just passed away. The poem and crow visitation would have occurred at the moments of her leaving this world-she was 96 years old...I will see you again Grandma. Crow Feathers Photo w/ digital effect 2008
