The Power Figure

This painted figure represents a power figure or shaman. It was painted along the shore of the Columbia River in the Columbia Plateau in southern Washington state. You can see the appendages coming out of its head. This type of symbolism most likely represents an out of body experience or power being recieved during a shaman's trance.
