Fantastic. You really nailed the emotion on her face...

I love the expression on her face and the feeling in her eyes!

Artist Reply: Thanks Lisa. That was what I was striving for. That eye was the key to the whole drawing, I thought. Get that wrong and may as well start over. As I did the background first, that would have been heartbreaking! Glad you think I succeeded.

Your work is amazing Marlene. They look like photographs. My favorite is Tyson. Up until 20 years ago I always had a boxer. Now, I don't have the space and have a cat named Phoebe. My son has a really nice boxer that he got from the rescue. His third one that way. He also "baby sits 3 others. They have a ball together and really gets rid of all the pent up energy for a short while. I was never able to do that with mine.

Artist Reply: Thanks so much Lorna. Tyson is not a pedigreed dog either, although my son brought him home (where he quickly became my dog when son left home for a 'no pets' apt) from local people who had two boxers that they let breed. He has been a wonderful dog, and is now 10. He's grey around the edges & ears and a bit arthritic, but can still chase a cat or a bunny given the opportunity! He's also a bit of a talker (unlike your parrot!) and a real ham. He will be hard to replace, but I will be getting the next from a rescue and it will be a boxer. Here is a link to a photo of him taken a week or so ago. http://www.redbubble.com/mybubble/art/5108678-1-tyson-at-10/edit
