The Three Kings

This rock art was painted by the Fremont peoples who lived in Utah, eastern Nevada, and western Colorado approximately 2000 to 700 years ago. This style of art, characterized as Unita Basin Fremont, is found in the Uinta Basin of Utah, and this particular panel is located on a private ranch outside of Vernal, Utah. This indented style of pecked and painted rock art is very unusual and unique to this area. The panel is locally known as The Three Kings. Image copyright Cher Peterson. All rights reserved.
