This image was taken during a moonless night in Big Sur. A flashlight was used to light up nearby oak trees. My Canon 5D was mounted on a tripod, and set to bulb for approximately a 20 second exposure in order to capture both the stars and the lit-up oaks. The lens was on manual focus, set to infinity.
