Often times people ask me things like, "Why do you draw things like that?" or " What's with the eye glasses and creepy smiles?" I find myself in a position where I'm explaining my art to people and I use to never do that...maybe no one really wondered. Usually I say, "What do you think it means?" For me this collage of faces is one person. At the bottom you see the face with the pencil. The smile has been applied along with the eye glass. "Maybe this will make me happy...maybe this will make me see things clearer." As you progress to each face the realisation comes clearer: Just because you draw on a smile doesn't make you happy. Trying to see things through a fake lens won't help your vision. Smile for real. There are so many things to smile about. Go to the eye doctor and get some real glasses...you don't have to walk into walls anymore ;)
