Another small drawing from '09 using just a bit of colored pencil with the gel ink. Sometimes it is easier to create a mental shell of protection---to wish oneself back into the egg, as it were---than deal unguarded with this perpetual chaos. :) Image area is 5.5 by 3.5 inches. Artist Reply: This makes me wish I had some decent color gel pens like I had in 2009. I think they were Sakura brand. I'm not sure this relates to being born again, Elton. I think it moves more toward the desire of being rewombed. But in a more cerebral way than physical. Now this is just me interpreting me, so take it with at least two grains of salt---not a pillar though, just a grain or two. :)
