I started out largely with watercolor for a change and then added color pencil and a bit of gel pen. This is a post-holiday dinner piece, so I felt a bit bloated while working on it. Maybe it's why the bird looks a little bloated too. ;) 6 by 6 inches. Original Jones Art. This piece was chosen for inclusion in a watercolor show in Round Rock, Texas, July 2013.

Very imaginative work, fantastic colours and ideas!!!!!!!!!!

Artist Reply: Thank you, Konstantina. You have a pretty name and you produce equally attractive work. Sounds like a win-win. Hope all is going your way. :)

Very Excellent Work, Charles! It is Great to know that a Parrot also enjoys Your Work!

Artist Reply: Yes, I may have to call my work extra-species in future, Chris. :) Hope you are doing well.

dont think im crazy. i have a rescue parrot from 1986. shes very smart wild caught bird friendly towards me only. i show her your bird abstracts work and she responds in different ways. as an ex bird keeper at the cols. zoo i find it interesting that she responds. some what like a conversation i cant understand.

Artist Reply: Me think anyone crazy? Nah. It's entirely possible that your parrot relates more to my work than most homo sapiens do. ;) I keep moving closer to something with these---I just wish your bird could tell us both what. :)
