Beautiful work Rusty. She greatly resembles Elizabeth Taylor

Artist Reply: Hello Renata!! Thank you so much!! Yes, she does look a bit like Liz Taylor doesn't she. Our neighbour here in France thinks she's a dead ringer for Isabelle Adjani, a famous french actress. The original painting by Eva Gonzales that I borrowed the pose from is in the Kunsthalle gallery in Bremmen, in Germany although she was a Parisian. She was a student of Edouard Manet and had great success as a female painter in Paris. Sadly, she died in childbirth aged 36 in 1883. A brilliant career cut short!
