Not exactly Nietzsche, not exactly DC's version so I can proudly say, "This is NOT Superman." Though after reading Nietzsche, I'd have to say there's a little lean in that direction. Its secondary title is 'Monument To Flattened Affect.' Standing nine inches tall, I think we can safely call this Original Jones Art as it is excreted here in Austin, Texas.

I can see you've been busy of late I'm licking the sculptural work great stuff keep it up

Artist Reply: I'm highly motivated lately by both internal and external imperatives, Charles. I've just finished another 3D piece I'm calling 'The Monument of Eye.' It's just too dreary to take a decent photo outside. Hope you are doing great. :)

I started working in my mothers commercial art studio in 1963. Sort of thought about retiring but, then what would happen to all that canvas and paint I haven't used. There was a time when I resented friends dropping in when I was working in my studio. My critics refer to me as person of harsh contrasts. Sign designs, Logos, and ad layouts were my source of income. Now, with the exception of a few commissioned portraits I don't have the pressure of deadlines. Having seen your portfolio you seem to be as prolific as I once was. I'm not superman either.

You are for sure full of creativity and vision... I saw most of your portfolio. To see as you do is unique!

Artist Reply: Thank you so much, Mark, for your exceptional comment! I started out as a poet who drew. Nowadays i throw everything onto the visual plane like a castaway might throw bottle after bottle into the ocean in the hope that someone might find the messages inside. Hope you are doing great. :)
