We all have gone out to a restaurant and walked past the bar on our way to be seated. Regardless of whether or not we are interested in partaking of the spirits offered, we very well may have noticed the impressive array of bottles on display. This happened to us at the Irish Cottage hotel located in Galena, Illinois, USA. As an artist what I saw at their bar was a beautiful still life, a study in realism, and very much a challenge. I took a photograph of the scene and eventually took up the challenge to render this bar as a colored pencil painting entitled "Adult Content". The piece was done on Grafix drafting film using Farber-Castell Polychromos pencils. The size of the artwork is 12 X 18 inches. Enjoy responsibly.
