“Hook, line & sinker” was a term I learned as a child to jokingly picture gullibility. Fish stories of how fish took the bait were always “jokingly” shared. Today's news-rooms have much more access to our current news than the public does so it's hard to believe some opinions that reporters report. If they aren't joking...they are in danger of becoming the joke.
