Definitely of the 9-banded Texas variety. I don't see as many around Austin anymore, dead or alive. But used to go into the woods and find whole families. 'Progress' should have either a new definition or a new replacement word coined. Nice shots, Brenda. :)

wonderful picture these guys are quite interesting...the whole brude come from the same egg therefore they are all indentical ...they are utilized for research at the Leprosphy research center in Lousiana as they are the only animal that contracts the disease....
