I started this piece around mid-March and finished it about a month a go, I think, though I 'fiddled' with it up to a week ago. It is made using my paper-based compound, newsprint, plastic and battery-operated LED lights (for the eyes.) The battery-pack resides in the skull cavity. The pictures aren't exactly artsy but I think they give the viewer the idea. I took some in the backyard that's shaded and some in the front with lots of sun. The sculpture stands just over 37 inches tall and is around 13 inches wide from toe tip to toe tip. I finished it lightly with just a bit of brownish-red acrylic varnish. This is what Original Jones Art has fiddled with, mimicking Nero, while the world burned. Yeah, still in northwest Austin, Texas.

Artist Reply: 'He's' currently sitting near my easel and I walk by 'him' several times a day. He and I, I'm sorry to say, are not currently on speaking terms. But if I don't get out of the house soon we may start collaborating on a new mind altering project. Thanks for commenting, Elton. :)

Artist Reply: I worked on this piece for a looooong time, Ray. Fiddling here, finessing there, etc. I'm going out on a limb and say there's not another like it. ;) Thanks for the comment and have a great safe Thanksgiving.
