Interesting about poppies & the many colours they produce,,,
**First of course the seed into the ground.
The plant starts off as a very tiny bud
Then into a very plump hairy bud
Then the stern/ stem
Starts to straighten up sending the bud upwards
The bud case starts turning brown & starts to split
Revealing the delicate bright colour of the petals all crumpled up like a tissue paper
The petals are actually only intact for less then four days,but sure attracting the butterflies ,bees & for us to enjoy.
Then turning brown into a perfectly designed seed pod
The cycle starts all over again as the seed pod at times bursts ,
