I'm somehow reminded of those Japanese actors with the white make-up here. I tried to shake things up by starting off with watercolor, then adding some color pencil and finally some gel pen. The drawing measures 6 by 4.5 inches on heavy bond acid-free paper which took the watercolor very well with little or no wrinkling. So who's masking and/or unmasking appropriately under the honor system? And isn't an honor system of any kind quite pass'e in the 21st Century? Yes, Original Jones Art asks the tough questions here in northwest Austin, Texas.

Super work , Charles ! : )

Artist Reply: Thanks, Dave! I may start incorporating more watercolor into the mix for awhile. Hope you are doing great and producing your usual superlative work. :)

Love the hair and the inside of the ears is so interesting. Also the details on the side of the nose.

Artist Reply: He looks more than a little 'spazzed out' to me, Ginger. Lots of fun working on it. I like watercolor but don't like what it does to the paper many times. Luckily, that didn't occur ---so I didn't get my usual dose of negative reinforcement. Hope you are doing great this day. :)
