Too bad we live in an adversarial world where everyone is viewed as a possible opponent in some unnamed unending battle. Even the handshake came about so one could make sure there were no weapons in the hands. Maybe the person with his chin thrust out is just leading a daring life with a devil-may-care attitude. It could be the best of his available options. This is a 7 by 5.5 inches gel pen drawing with color pencil on heavy bond acid-free paper. It's another small slice of Original Jones Art as he takes it, once more, on the chin in northwest Austin, Texas.

My gosh! What you can do with those pencils, pen and ink, etc.! Just amazing.

Artist Reply: I was reading an old diary of mine from 1969-70 other day. I used to write 'poetry' and what I thought (at the time) was flowery prose. I would also do some small sketches. Two surprised me as they were obviously modeled after Robert Crumb and Pablo Picasso. What does this have to do with the price of pork bellies? It just means that I've been putting hand to paper for a long time, Ginger. :)
