When we are young our eyes are open wide as if they can't absorb all the sights fast or fully enough. As we age, we draw back a bit and take things in a bit more judiciously. Well, at least most of us do, if we are wise. This is a 7 by 5.5 inches gel pen drawing with color pencil. It's the latest dash of Original Jones Art as he compares old with new in northwest Austin, Texas.

How true! Love the details.

Artist Reply: Thanks, Ginger! For two days after this, I couldn't draw my way out of a hat but this happens occasionally and, unless my brain has rerouted its circuitry, I should be good to go soon. In fact, 'The Rash' is suggestive that I will return to form. Uh, well whatever 'form' that may be. Hope you are doing great where you are. :)

Brilliant portrait. I guess artists are more sensitive and taking it more to insise.. Therefore the ability to create. My Pod.

Artist Reply: Fortunately, I learned how to siphon off what could easily have been an over dose by writing and drawing. Am I world famous? No. Am I alive and reasonably sane? Yes. Thank you for commenting, Nira. Hope you and yours are doing great. :)
