Polish Peasant No. 3

This is part of my “Polish Peasants” series and is in protest to the recent shameful laws enacted in Poland and Hungary designed to limit, suppress, punish, and marginalize people of the LGBTQ (Lesbian/gay/bi-sexual/transgender/queer) sector of their population, for just trying to be who they are. How a person identifies and/or whom they love is only the business of that person, not the government, the church, or their neighbors. For the genesis of this folk costume, refer to my drawing entitled “Polish Peasant No. 1.” Note: If you are overly sensitive, refrain from reading the slogans on the woman’s apron. This artist tends to be outspoken and passionate especially regarding human rights issues, for which I do not apologize. 2022 UPDATE: I temper the previous statement to add how grateful I am to the Polish people for accepting and embracing immigrant Ukrainians to their country Ukraine, which is being raped and pillaged by Putin.
