Optimism and positivity all come together in Irving Berlin's song from 1926. Of course, this was a very good time in America. There was a 'nothing's impossible' attitude, the stock market was still flying high and there was little evidence of the coming of WWII. Technology didn't dictate one's life, it made it a little easier as more folks had electricity and the telephone. A telephone you could leave hanging on your wall (at that time) and not wearing like some ball and chain. This is a 6 by 4.5 inches gel pen drawing on medium bond acid-free paper. It's another strangely familiar piece of Original Jones Art as he sits about listening to old music here in northwest Austin, Texas.

Im not trying to criticize you here charles but i notice that allot of your has clear blue skies.

Artist Reply: Yes, you are correct, Ray, a lot of my pieces have a blue sky. A lady asked me once why I don't paint landscapes. I responded that technically most of my pieces ARE landscapes; they have sky, a cloud and a mountain range. I thought the expression on the fellow's face was optimistically hopeful and, as I had that song running through my head, I thought part of the lyrics worked.
