FUNGI

I'VE SEEN MANY DIFFERENT FUNGI HERE IN MICHIGAN AND THIS ONE IS LIKE A BLANKET SPREAD OUT TIGHT TO THE GROUND... EVEN LOOKS LIKE THE SHAPE OF MICHIGAN.. LOL... JUST THOUGHT IT WAS NEAT.

Looks like a lichen to me which is a symbiotic relationship between fungi and algae. Still looks cool, Joanie. :)
