This is a 6 by 4.5 inches gel pen and color pencil drawing on medium weight acid-free paper. He just happens to represent himself here and I thought he looked rather prim and proper, rather buttoned down yet at ease with himself. So what more can I say about this new slice of Original Jones Art? Ah, sometimes that's telling too much of the tale here in northwest Austin, Texas.

I like the one eye being larger than the other. Adds a bit of normalcy.

Artist Reply: Ginger, you've probably gathered by now that I don't create realistic faces. A lot of folks think making something look like a photograph is great artistic achievement. I say, "Why bother?" Cameras are ubiquitous and do the job so much quicker. I try to 'find' something that isn't as obvious as, say, the nose on your face. Mine, for instance, is slightly bent. :)
