Seems you don't have to be in the military to feel the need to watch your back nowadays. Ever start feeling paranoid, look around, and then shake it off? Then you know exactly what I mean. The best way to do it is to look like you're not, I think. This is a 7 by 5 inches gel pen with color pencil drawing on medium weight acid-free paper. Yeah, Original Jones Art is usually found watching his 6 here in northwest Austin, Texas.

Charles, you've got me pegged! Yes, I most certainly do take the time to SEE things when I go to a gallery or museum. I might actually get some ideas for future paintings that way too. Keep up the great work, Charles. Love viewing and commenting on your work ... and always appreciate your comments on mine too. Thank you so much for your support.

Artist Reply: I'm a natural borne contrarian, Ginger. BUT I'm not here to preach 'the one true way' just to do and show a bit of work that hopefully says, "Well, why not?" Every once in a while, I think I've actually gotten close to what I mean. Anyway, thanks for your support also. Seems we should all be realizing, even the sleepy ones, that people helping and needing people is what it's all about. :)

I think this image is one of your best. There's a lot to it: first, I noticed that you opted for only one eyebrow. second, you chose only the left eye to have a bit of yellow color. third, the long ridge on the right side of face is different and interesting. fourth, the mouth is extended which I hadn't noticed you're doing in your other works (but maybe you have). fifth, the chin includes an eyeball demonstrating more of that "watching your 6" feeling. and sixth, the little face on the shirt. Did you design this so there would be SIX noticeable differences than your usual which would neatly correspond to the title or was it happy happenstance? Either way, the image is superb.

Artist Reply: Interesting that you noticed all the variances but I plead innocent as to their intended number, Ginger. Hey, I bet when you go to a gallery or museum, you actually take your time so you can really SEE something. Thanks! :)
