You know, the old ostrich story about hiding his head in the sand is pure fiction. Seems man is the only animal who does that on a regular basis. With the world unraveling around him, he focuses squarely on the small petty things. Like who's dating whom and how much dead people are worth. Sort of sad. Oh and we worry about dogs at an airport rather than the people who are being summarily executed twenty yards away. This is a 7 by 5.5 inches gel pen drawing with color pencil on medium weight acid-free paper. If Edward Munch lived now he and I would probably get along. So says Original Jones Art as he watches the world burn from his easy chair in northwest Austin, Texas.

Indeed Charles , off the comfy couch people ! Eyes open : )

Artist Reply: Thanks, Dave. Seems we're all little Nero's these day on a barge floating down denial. But what can one do? Something, anything! Even if all you can do is make odd little pictures and post them on the untrusty internet. :)

Hi...good eyes...

Artist Reply: Yes, Maria, they seem to capture the essence of being numb, detached, and oblivious all rolled into one. Hope you are doing great, BTW. :)

Artist Reply: King Crimson is one of my favorite 'old time' or is that 'classic' these days, musical groups, Ray. I had all their albums back in the day. :)

i SAY he.y hEY..THE REALITY OF THE WORLD IS HERALED IN YOUR ART...KEEP THE TORCH BURNING OR THE DARKNESS WILL OVERPOWER OUR DESIRE AND THEN WE BECOME AS LEMMINGS RUSHING MADLY INTO THE SEA.....

Artist Reply: I just do what I feel when I feel it most times, Elton. This one resonates with me on several levels though probably not pretty enough for some. Thanks!
